Meet the staff of New Life Community Church
Pastor Jim has been married to his high school sweetheart, Angela, for the past 12 years. They have two amazing gifts, Jackson, who is 8, and Jovie, who is 6. He loves playing with his kids, dating his wife, being outdoors enjoying nature and playing sports. He also enjoys creating music. He grew up in West Michigan, graduating from Reeths-Puffer High School, earning his BA from Michigan State University in Education, and M. Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. Although growing up in the church, Jim wrestled with complete surrender until mid way through college. He came face to face with grace after questioning the faith he grew up with. While listening to Lifehouse's "Hanging by a Moment" he felt the nudge of the Spirit confronting his rebellion and calling him to the life Jesus died for. He answered by faith and continues to answer. God gave Jim a great passion for people, wanting to see them break the apathetic or routine approach of religion, and instead embrace the life of faith that Jesus calls us to in following Him. For Jim, this faith journey has led him out of teaching and into ministry. He has been a youth pastor, worship director, twenty and thirty-somethings pastor, and now serves as the lead pastor at New Life.

Meggan has been married to Jon for over 15 years and has been blessed with 2 amazing daughters, Jocelyn and Natalie. She enjoys shopping—especially with her mom or kids (when they are enjoying it!), spending time with her husband, watching CSI and sitting outside on warm, sunny days among other things. She has a passion for worshiping the one true God who redeemed her and strives to lead others to explore deeper personal worship experiences. Meggan will tell that she has made some poor choices throughout her life and has struggled like everyone else; however, she'll be the first to tell you that she is so thankful that God has continued to draw her closer to Him through it all.
